What's new in DrawFort

Improvements as they ship, in plain English. Something you need that isn't here? Tell us.

A more complete G702, safer saving, and a note on online payments

Your G702 now has its certificate section.

Every pay application PDF now ends page one with the contractor's certification and signature lines, a notary block, and an Architect's Certificate for Payment with the amount-certified line left for the architect. Nothing else on the document changed, and the math is identical. If a GC has ever handed one back asking for “the signature page,” that's done.

You can't accidentally submit the wrong numbers anymore.

Preview, PDF, and Mark submitted now save whatever you've typed first — “Mark submitted” has become “Save & mark submitted.” A submitted or paid application is fully locked on screen, and if a save can't go through for any reason, it tells you instead of failing quietly.

No more empty emails.

“Email to GC” only sends when the PDF is attached. If the PDF can't be generated, you'll see a message and nothing is sent. Replies to those emails now come back to you, not to a no-reply address.

Faster first project.

After saving a schedule of values there's a “Create Pay Application #1” button right there. If you left the contract sum blank, one click sets it to your SOV total instead of printing $0.00 on Line 1.

Dates match your calendar.

New pay applications and invoices are dated today in your time zone, not UTC. Evening work no longer lands on tomorrow's date.

A reliability fix.

We found and fixed a bug where the Save button could get stuck on “Saving…” until you reloaded the page. If you ever hit that, it's gone.

Online payments: coming soon, not live yet.

Pro accounts will see a note on the Billing page under “Payouts.” Stripe is finishing its review of DrawFort as a payments platform. Once it's approved, you'll connect your own Stripe account, send your GC a link to pay a draw by bank transfer or card, and the money goes straight to your bank — DrawFort never holds it. We'll announce it here. In the meantime, PDFs and email work exactly as before.
